An Identity File is a permanent record containing a photograph and identification of who attended a settlement, what date and where the settlement occurred as well as the notary identification and image of a notarized document.

A Certified Notary File is a permanent record containing a photograph and identification of the signor of documents that are notarized as well as the identification of the notary, the notary license and bond information, an image of the document prior to signing and an image of the document after signing and acknowledgment as well as the date and location of the event.

A Certified DocuGuard is a licensed notary that has become certified with DocuGuard, inc. This certification is also performed by using the app. The notary simply follows the steps on the app to create an account and upload all of his licensing information and identity. When this is complete, DocuGuard will verify the information and provide a unique CNG license number to the applicant. A CNG is licensed by DocuGuard to create Certified Notary Files and Identity Files. It is the responsibility of the CNG to maintain and renew his or her licenses with their jurisdiction and provide updates to DocuGuard.

A Certified Closing Agent is a licensed notary or closing agent, depending upon applicable state laws, that has become certified with DocuGuard, inc. This certification is also performed by using the app. The applicant simply follows the steps on the app to create an account and upload all of his or her licensing information and identity. When this is complete, DocuGuard will verify the information and provide a unique CCA license number to the applicant. A CCA is licensed by DocuGuard to create an Identity File at a settlement. It is the responsibility of the CNG to maintain and renew his or her licenses with their jurisdiction and provide updates to DocuGuard.

Either the signor or the notary may log into DocuGuard and create a new CNF by making payment.

In order to log back into an existing CNF simply log back into the app and then log into the specific file by knowing the file number and the signor’s name.

Simply go to notaryguard.сom and go to the CNF login screen. Enter two of the three fields to view, print or email the CNF:

  • DocuGuard’s license number
  • Signor’s name
  • CNF number

Simply go to notaryguard.сom and go to the if login screen. Enter the date of closing and the address to view, print or email the if.

Each file costs $24.99. In the event that the file is not completed, the party paying for it will have the option to void the file and retain a credit for a new CNF.

If you are participating in the process of creating a DocuGuard File you are agreeing to have your identification and information uploaded at the signing public so that the authenticity can be verified later by the title company or the lender.
